Salads

One day my little sister had an idea, that we should make salads for a light dinner. That day I wasn't that hungry for dinner, so I said sure. We both set up our work stations on our kitchen counter, and started preparing our salads!!

There are many different types of salads, and multiple ways to make them.To make this salad I just used what we have at home.

Materials:

  • 1 plate

  • 1 knife

  • 1 colander

  • 2 spoons

  • 3 bowls

  • 1 cutting board

Ingredients for salad:

*= As many as you want

  • *mini bell peppers- as you can see I used different colors( red, orange, and yellow)

  • *cherry tomatoes

  • *baby carrots

  • *romaine hearts lettuce

  • *celery

  • *mozzarella and cheddar cheese

Ingredients for dressing:

  • 1 lemon

  • 1 spoon of honey

  • Black pepper

Steps:

1. Take out everything that is needed

2. Wash the lemon, mini bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, baby carrots, romaine hearts lettuce, and celery

3. Cut the lemon in half, and squeeze the lemons juice in a bowl.

4. Add about 1 spoon of honey and add as much of black pepper as you want into the bowl with the lemon juice and mix it, then set it aside

5. Take out the cutting board and knife, and cut the cherry tomatoes in half, then put it on 1 side of the plate

6. Cut the baby carrots in 3rds or 4ths, then put it on 1 side of the plate

7. take out the leaves from the celery, and cut it from the bottom to top, then put it on 1 side of the plate

8. Put as much cheese as you want in a bowl and heat it in the microwave for 5-10 seconds or leave it out until it reaches room temperature

9.Take out as many pieces from the lettuce and then put it on 1 side of the plate
10. Mix all of the ingredients together in one bowl with a spoon
11. Drizzle the dressing all over the salad, then mix it well
12. Sprinkle the cheese on top of it, and mix if you want.
13. The most important step is tasting your masterpiece!!!!!!

Slacker

Slacker is one of my favorite novels by Gordon Korman Cameron Boxer is very happy to spend his life avoiding homework, hanging out with his friends, and gaming for hours in his basement. But one day he almost lets his house burn down while gaming. Oh no..... It's time for some serious damage control and his parents say he has to join an after school club, otherwise they will take away his video games. Then Cameron and his friends invent a fake school club that will make it seem like they're doing good deeds instead of slacking off. There is one problem though. Some kids think the club is real--and Cameron is stuck being president. Soon Cameron is part of a mission to save a beaver named Elvis from certain extinction. Along the way, he makes some new friends--and some powerful new enemies. The guy who never cared about anything is now at the center of everything . . . and it's going to take all his slacker skills to win this round. I love this book because it hila...

Lost in Hollywood

Lost In Hollywood is my favorite book by Cindy Callaghan. Her description of the places Ginger and Payton visited made me feel as if I was there myself. Thirteen-year-old Ginger Carlson feels like she is the only normal one in her family. Her father is an inventor who sells his gadgets online, Mom is obsessed with classic movies, and her brother Grant thinks he is from outer space. Luckily, Ginger has a totally normal BFF, Payton, and they have big plans for the future—they plan to become doctors and open a practice together in a big city. But first, they’re partnering on the state Science Olympics where they’re sure to take home the gold for their eighth grade class with their model of the brain. The Olympics training is interrupted when the Carlson family gets an urgent call that their eccentric Aunt Betty, a former actress who lives in Hollywood, is in serious trouble. The bank is going to take her house unless she can give them the money she owes. The Carlsons head to LA to sort th...
