Lost in Hollywood

Lost In Hollywood is my favorite book by Cindy Callaghan. Her description of the places Ginger and Payton visited made me feel as if I was there myself. Thirteen-year-old Ginger Carlson feels like she is the only normal one in her family. Her father is an inventor who sells his gadgets online, Mom is obsessed with classic movies, and her brother Grant thinks he is from outer space. Luckily, Ginger has a totally normal BFF, Payton, and they have big plans for the future—they plan to become doctors and open a practice together in a big city. But first, they’re partnering on the state Science Olympics where they’re sure to take home the gold for their eighth grade class with their model of the brain. The Olympics training is interrupted when the Carlson family gets an urgent call that their eccentric Aunt Betty, a former actress who lives in Hollywood, is in serious trouble. The bank is going to take her house unless she can give them the money she owes. The Carlsons head to LA to sort th

Double Dog Dare

Lisa Graff tells the story of fourth-graders Kansas Bloom and Francine Halata, who start out as archenemies, until--in a battle of wits and willpower--they discover that they have a lot more in common than either would have guessed. They started the dare battle to see who would win news anchor. This dual-perspective novel will appeal to girls and boys alike--and to anyone who has ever wanted anything so badly that they'd lick a lizard to get it. I love this book since it is full of hilarious dares. Francine and Kansas got in trouble a few times and did things I would not even imagine doing!!!!!

Slacker

Slacker is one of my favorite novels by Gordon Korman Cameron Boxer is very happy to spend his life avoiding homework, hanging out with his friends, and gaming for hours in his basement. But one day he almost lets his house burn down while gaming. Oh no..... It's time for some serious damage control and his parents say he has to join an after school club, otherwise they will take away his video games. Then Cameron and his friends invent a fake school club that will make it seem like they're doing good deeds instead of slacking off. There is one problem though. Some kids think the club is real--and Cameron is stuck being president. Soon Cameron is part of a mission to save a beaver named Elvis from certain extinction. Along the way, he makes some new friends--and some powerful new enemies. The guy who never cared about anything is now at the center of everything . . . and it's going to take all his slacker skills to win this round. I love this book because it hila

Ban This Book

Ban this book is a 2020 blue stem novel. Summary: It all started the day Amy Anne Ollinger tried to check out her favorite book in the whole world, From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, from the school library. That's when Mrs. Jones, the librarian, told her the bad news: her favorite book was banned! All because a classmate's mum thought the book wasn't appropriate for kids to read. Amy Anne decides to fight back by starting a secret banned-books library out of her locker. The battle of the books escalates when she engineers a campaign to challenge every book in the school library. Because once you ban one book, you can challenge them all under the most ridiculous of pretexts: The Lorax portrays the timber industry in a negative light! The mouse in the room in Goodnight Moon is a health code violation! And let's not even start on the safety concerns raised by The Magic Treehouse. Soon, Amy Anne and her friends find themselves on the front line

Slime

What is slime? Slime is  consisted of a non-toxic viscous, squishy and oozy green. Depending on how it is made it can be sticky, smooth, warm, stretchy colorful, and glittery. I personally love smooth and stretchy types. I do not like smelly ones though. They don't smell good and make me feel blegh . Slime is a fun thing to make if you are at home and want to do a fun activity. You can make it yourself, buy kits in stores, or buy ready-made ones. How to make slime for beginners: Some people understand better with someone showing or saying what to do:  Beginners slime A website to read on making slime:  Beginners Slime Crystal slime:  Crystal Slime A regular slime is the base to making crunchy slime, and many more types. For crunchy slime you have to add foam balls. To make glitter slime you need to add glitter.

Universal Studios

Over 2019's winter break my family traveled to Orlando, Florida to go to Universal Studios. It was my second time visiting the place.  I was excited to go on the new Harry Potter themed ride. It is Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. I had heard that it was super fast and went backwards. It was super fast and at the end there was a unicorn family. It was so cute. To reach the backwards movement, we had to go at a high speed. That year I was tall enough to go on the Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket. I had longed to go on that ride since we first went there!!! I enjoyed the ride so much, as there was a high speed, many drops, and loops. The thrilling experience made me want to go again and again.  Another ride I liked was Despicable Me Minion Mayhem. Gru was planning a surprise anniversary party for him and the girls. We had 3d glasses to wear while we trained to be his minions. My little sister loved that ride. I thought it was fun but not as good as the Hollywood R

Scoob ( An adorable movie)

Another family and friendly movie I would recommend to watch is Scoob. Here is the trailer:  Scoob A summary of it: With hundreds of cases solved and adventures shared, Scooby and the gang face their biggest, most challenging mystery ever -- a plot to unleash the ghost dog Cerberus upon the world. As they race to stop this global dog-pocalypse, the gang discovers that Scooby has a secret legacy and an epic destiny greater than anyone could have imagined.

Spies In Disguise

A family friendly movie I would recommend to watch is Spies In Disguise. Here is the trailer of:  Spies In Disguise A summary of it: Super Spy Lance Sterling and the scientist Walter Beckett are almost exact opposites. Lance is smooth, charming, and elegant while Walter lacks social skills, but makes amazing spy gadgets for Lance to use on spy missions. When things take an unpredictable turn both of them have to rely on each other in a whole different way. If this odd couple can't learn to work as a team the whole world is in danger.

If My House Was Upside Down

If my house was upside down, I would fall off my bed, or trip over chandeliers and fall on my head If my house was upside down, I would be walking on windows or dancing on walls while jumping from heroes If my house was upside down The fans would be flipped over blasting on the ground There would be so many leftovers

Happy July 4th

Why is the 4th of July celebrated? July 4th is also known as the day where America had the birth of independence, on July 4th, 1776. This is the day where we celebrate our independence and freedom. We claimed our independence from England. Every year on July 4th, Americans celebrate this special event. We have fireworks parties, and so much more on this day. So much joy and laughter I have heard on this special day. I enjoy this day every year, though I am not American my family still goes to watch the bright fireworks.
