Odes


Around the beginning of February, my Project Arrow teacher said the class was going to write odes.
An ode is something you can use to describe something. I chose the mind and songs.

Ode To Minds

The speculation that comes from minds, the thought placed by the mind
O, mind, O, mind
The remarkable sensation of the mind at work
O, mind, O, mind
The curiosity that sparks its creativity and wonder
O, mind, O mind
The mind is like a sheet of paper which has its words overflowing
O, mind, O mind
The mind so eager to identify new pieces of information
O, Mind, O mind
The magic of thinking flows in and out my mind
O, Mind, O, Mind
The mind is always on its path to a new discovery 
O, Mind, O, Mind, Oh Prodigious mind
The mind keeps us focused while doing work
O, Mind O, Mind O, Inquisitive mind
You are an amazing mind

Ode To Songs

O, songs, O, songs, the wonderful, melodious tune, 
O, songs the delightful calming voice
The ballads,operas, rock and roll, and more
O,songs, O songs the astonishing voice lifts me up and takes my heart
The tingling sensation and swaying that happens listening to ballads
The giddiness for movement from Rock and Roll
O, songs, O songs, O, songs 
Some songs have lines that blow my mind

The Kidnapped Singer

 Prologue In France, Miss Jasmine Florez was at her singing concert with her mom. She was singing Speechless and So Long Farewell. She loves singing in front of crowds. She saw families sitting together and enjoying the performance. It broke her heart that her younger sister was not there. As the sky darkened, she called a taxi to take her home.  Her mom had been staying with her at Jewel Plaza for the past week while preparing for the concert. Jasmine’s mom was also a famous singer.
