Ocean or Space

Last week in school, I was given a would you rather question. Would you rather know the secrets of space, or the secrets of the ocean. I chose to do the secrets of space. My explanation I gave is here:

I would rather know the secrets of space over the secrets of the ocean. In space there are so many places astronauts have not visited. There are many galaxies undiscovered, who knows if there are more lifeforms somewhere else in space. Only 4 percent of the space has been explored or mapped there is still about 96 percent of space we have not seen yet. That 4 percent scientists and astronauts have seen includes planets and stars, plus other galaxies we have not reached. Thousands of galaxies are there in the universe, each one consisting of billions of stars. Ocean is on our planet, they can’t go anywhere else while space is infinite and out of reach. We cannot know even if there is one universe since even just traveling to another galaxy is out of reach. So, in my opinion I would choose to learn the secrets of space over the secrets of the ocean.

Feel free to write in the comments below which one you would choose!!!

6th Grade

Knock, knock Who’s there? Justin Justin who? Just in time to login to school for the day. I started 6th grade in the beginning of September. Due to remote learning my classes have been taken remotely. In class we learn something new every day. I always wonder how 6th grade would have been if this global pandemic had never happened.  All of my teachers are really friendly and nice. Why did the Chromebook look so sad during math class?Because it had so many problems!! Just like that remote learning can have many problems but my teachers keep me engaged in class lessons or doing classwork. I really appreciate all of the hard work they have done to make 6th grade enjoyable. I enjoy listening to Hoot&Hollers(book talks) in ELA. In science I enjoy playing Blooklet and learning about the mysteries of light. In math I enjoy being able to understand function concepts easily. In social studies I enjoy learning about culture's, similarities and differences.  Even though, th...

One Word 2021

I find it hard to remember resolutions, and maybe it's the same for you. My teacher assigned us to choose one word that we could reflect on during 2021. My word is persistence, which means to keep on trying when things get hard. This could reflect on homework or tests. If you get something wrong, you should at least understand what or why you did it. This could also reflect on blogging or just day to day life. Failing to get a soccer goal or not hitting a game change ball in tennis. None of this means you should stop there will be other opportunities to try again. Just learning from you mistakes is what matters. Getting into an argument with a friend doesn't mean you should never talk to them. This word inspires me to try my hardest and you should too. Tell me your word of the year in the comments below!!!

The Outsiders

The Outsiders.                          Written by: S.E. Hinton.                       Reviewed by: Me                                    In school we had to read this book in second quarter. It was so good, it had many plot twists and kept me reading. I wanted to finish reading the book as soon as I started. Ponyboy was part of the Greasers. There were two big groups in the neighborhood, the Socs, and the Greasers. The Socs were rich, spoiled kids, while the Greasers were poor kids. Many times the Socs jumped the Greasers when they were walking alone. Pony's parents died in a car crash, so the only family he has left is his fun brother Soda, and his oldest brother Darry. One night Pony and another Greaser, Johnny were in the park. They meet a bunch of Socs are there. They st...
